Whitehorse
High confidenceConfirmed near the Fish Lake Road turnoff, hauling a case of something local.
Seven feet of fur, a strong opinion about hot sauce, and no interest in your campground potluck. Somewhere between Carcross and the Dempster, the Yukon's most private resident is cracking a cold one under the northern lights โ and he'd rather you didn't come looking.
Nine reports along three highway corridors. Tap a marker to pull the file.
Dashed lines trace the Alaska, Klondike, Dempster, Silver Trail and Campbell highways. Sketched from field notes โ not to scale.
Confirmed near the Fish Lake Road turnoff, hauling a case of something local.
Spotted crossing the desert dunes at dusk, in no apparent hurry.
Trail cam near Kluane caught him mid-stretch. No further comment offered.
Empty growler recovered at a pullout south of the lake. Label licked clean.
Reportedly circled the Sign Post Forest twice before deciding against it.
Tracks logged near the old townsite, alongside wing sauce residue on a nearby rock.
Silver Trail regulars swear he waved from a ridge and kept walking.
Seen along the Klondike bench, entirely uninterested in the gold rush reenactments.
Furthest confirmed sighting on file. Dempster travellers report a shape at the treeline, gone by the next bend.
Everything we know comes from what he leaves behind. He's never once stuck around to confirm any of it.
A running map of the sites he's chosen and abandoned โ always the farthest tent pad from the outhouse, always facing away from the fire circle everyone else picked. We've never caught him setting up. We've only ever found where he already left.
Bone piles ranked by sauce residue and bite pattern. Current standing: he skips mild entirely, respects a honey garlic through the shoulder months, and switches to something the lab has classified as "unreasonable" once the snow sets in.
Every crushed can recovered from his known lookout points, catalogued by brand and elevation. He has opinions about lagers. He has stronger opinions about people who leave their empties behind โ which, notably, he never does.
This isn't a cryptid hunt so much as a standing decline. Somewhere in the eight hundred kilometres between Watson Lake and the Dempster, there's a nine-hundred-pound resident who has never once RSVP'd to anything, and at this point we've stopped taking it personally.
He doesn't drink to be social. A cold one just tastes better at elevation with nobody around to ask how his week was. Same goes for the wings โ he doesn't share, he doesn't dip in ranch, and he definitely doesn't want to hear about your air fryer.
Sighted on trail cams in three territories. Confirmed campfire companions: zero. That's not a gap in the data. That's the whole point of the data.
lonesquatch.ca exists because somebody has to keep count of the cans. The truth is blurry, the tracks are real, and the invitation was never coming.
